The Dumbbell Goblet Curtsy Squat is a versatile unilateral movement that serves as a great supplementary lower body strength exercise. It can improve your max deadlift or squat as well as enhance your performance and coordination as an athlete. The cross-legged nature of this movement creates a stretch in the glutes, making it an excellent activation exercise.

While most lower body movement involve the gluteus maximus, the curtsy squat also targets the gluteus medius and minimus.

Some other benefits of this exercise are high muscle recruitment of the quads, improved balance, rack stability, and activating the core due to the goblet position of the dumbbell.
